Featured on Variety’s 2025 Comedy Impact Report, Matt Rogers is an actor, comedian, writer, and recording artist on the rise with undeniable talent and charm.

The multihyphenate is the co-host of the award-winning and hugely popular podcast Las Culturistas with Bowen Yang, which TIME recently honored as one of the “100 Best Podcasts of All Time.” This follows the podcasts win of ‘Podcast of the Year’ at the 2023 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. Together, the pair bring their signature wit to their annual sold-out Las Culturistas Culture Awards, which was televised for the first time this year on Bravo on August 5th.

Dubbed the “Prince of Christmas,” Rogers dropped his debut yuletide dance-pop album Have You Heard of Christmas? with Capitol Records in 2023. The 12-track pop parody pastiche, which includes songs from his acclaimed 2022 Showtime special of the same name, highlights his songwriting chops and showman sensibility, complete with new mixes and surprise collaborations. He’ll hit the road this December for his fan-favorite holiday tour across the U.S. and Canada—a high-energy spectacle packed with tracks from the album and brand-new seasonal anthems. The ever-evolving show has become an annual sold out celebration.

On the silver screen, Matt can recently be seen in the Netflix dark comedy series No Good Deed opposite Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano and an all star cast. Fans may also know Matt from his breakthrough performance in the Showtime comedy series, I Love That For You, created by Vanessa Bayer and Jeremy Beiler. He was heralded a “scene-stealing turn” (Vanity Fair), with USA Today applauding him as “the show’s breakout.”  Rogers also recently had a memorable guest turn in Benito Skinner’s Overcompensating, and is also set to appear on the upcoming season of AppleTV’s Palm Royale.

Matt is also known for his buzzworthy performance in the revolutionary queer romantic comedy, Fire Island, opposite Bowen Yang and Joel Kim Booster. The groundbreaking film earned much recognition, resulting in an Ensemble Tribute at the 2022 Gotham Awards and several award nominations including the 2023 PGA Awards, 2023 Emmy Awards, and the 2023 GLAAD Media Awards. Matt can recently be seen in Aziz Ansari’s film Good Fortune alongside Ansari, Seth Rogan, Keanu Reeves, and Sandra Oh.

Behind the scenes, he has written for hit series such as the HBO Max critically acclaimed comedy, The Other Two, and the Netflix animated spy comedy, Q-Force, the latter of which Rogers also voiced one of the lead characters, ‘Twink.’ He also co-created the short form competition series, Gayme Show, in which he hosted alongside Dave Mizzoni.

The New York native currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.

Bowen Yang is a five-time Emmy®-nominated comedian, actor and writer who has captivated audiences with his distinct wit and comedic style while breaking barriers across film, television and podcasting.

He currently co-hosts the critically acclaimed podcast, Las Culturistas, alongside Matt Rogers. Yang and Rogers recently brought their Las Culturistas Culture Awards to television for the first time, which aired on Bravo on August 5 and is now streaming on Peacock. Las Culturistas was named Podcast of the Year at the iHeart Radio Podcast Awards in 2023 and 2025.

Yang starred in The Wedding Banquet, Andrew Ahn’s remake of the 1993 comedy, opposite Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran and Han Gi-chan, which premiered at Sundance and debuted in theaters on April 18. Previously, Yang starred in Universal Pictures’ Academy® award-nominated film Wicked as “Pfannee” and will reprise his role in Wicked: For Good, set to release on November 21. In 2026, Yang will lend his vocal talents as a voice in Warner Brothers’ animated film THE CAT IN THE HAT.

As he celebrates his seventh season as part of the main cast of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Yang continues to create memorable moments and characters. Joining the show as a writer in 2018 and becoming an on-air cast member in 2019, he has gone on to receive four Emmy® Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, making him the most-nominated Asian male performer in Emmy® history. He also received an Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 2019, on behalf of SNL.

Yang will be honored with the Vantage Award at the 2025 Academy Museum Gala.

Additional film and television credits include Searchlight Pictures’ FIRE ISLAND; Universal Pictures’ BROS starring opposite Billy Eichner and Luke MacFarlane; A24’s DICKS: THE MUSICAL; and Comedy Central’s AWKWAFINA IS NORA FROM QUEENS, where he played Nora’s cousin Edmund. Yang was also featured in TIME’s 2021 100 Artists list.

Yang currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
