JASMINE JOSHUA (they/them) is the Artistic Director of the award-winning Reboot Theatre Company whose mission is to test new interpretations of established works through nontraditional casting and design. They are a Seattle writer, director (Cafe Nordo, assoc at Village Theatre, assistant director at 5th Avenue Theatre) and actor (Intiman, Book-It, Seattle Musical Theatre). Jasmine graduated magna cum laude from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Jewish Studies. They studied acting at the Larry Moss Studio and improv with the Groundlings in Los Angeles. In a former life, Jasmine worked as a senior publicist in one of the top theatrical PR firms in the Bay Area, where they represented clients such as TheatreWorks, Smuin Ballet, Opera San Jose, various touring Broadway shows and Monster Jam (yes, the monster truck rally). They are currently workshopping their nonbinary musical HERE AND THEIR at Seattle Repertory Theatre with funding from NAMT, having previously developed the show at the 5th Avenue Theatre.
