LEGACY: A BLACK QUEER PRODUCTION COLLECTIVE We are a group of Black queer artists based in NYC. LEGACY collectivized in response to deep-seated under-appreciation, undervaluing and underfunding of Black queer art. LEGACY focuses on uplifting Black queer voices and experiences by: creating space for artistic endeavors, providing equitable compensation for time and work and fostering fellowship and opportunity for our communities, both present and future.

Designed to create more equitable and power-sharing curatorial practices, Ars Nova’s new Vision Residency invites seven artist-curators to create, develop and present their own work and work by artists they are inspired by or wish to amplify.
