ELLEN WINTER (she/they) is a composer, performer and teaching artist with roots in theater and an affinity for synthesizers. She released her debut album in 2020 titled, Every Feeling I’ve Ever Felt, a ten-track glitter-fueled indie-pop celebration of self-acceptance and actualization. In 2017, she and her collaborator, Chris Littler, co-wrote/directed/composed the world’s first broadway-calibur podcast musical, 36 Questions, starring Jonathan Groff and Jesse Shelton. And since 2012, she’s belted and written songs with Chamber Band, a nerd-rock group who have three albums and national tours under their belts. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, MTV News, Marie Claire and Playbill and she’s had residencies with Ars Nova, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat and BarnArts Collective. Ellen is also a recipient of the 2021 Bryan Gallace/Posthumous Prodigy Productions Fellowship. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner, her dog and 80+ plants. @itsellenwinter | ellenwinter.com
