A Note on Content Advisories
Ars Nova Supra is uncensored. We have chosen to provide content advisories — to the best of our ability — to inform audiences when shows contain racial violence, racist language, sexual violence or nudity. We provide information about this type of content in advance, based on our Core Values, so that each audience member can make an informed decision about if and how they’d like to engage with that content. We welcome artists to share additional information about their shows based on their own core values.

Our new digital platform, Ars Nova Supra, is the home to most of our 2020/21 season offerings! Tune in weekly for premieres created specifically for streaming, and priced at just $5-$10 each — or available live and on-demand with a $15/month, cancel-anytime subscription. LEARN MORE.

CAMP launched January 2021, and provides an eclectic group of creators with peer support and artistic feedback as they work on developing new comedic work in weekly meetings facilitated by Co-Program Directors Mahayla Laurence and Matt Gehring. Resident comedy teams, including dance, sketch, or improv collectives, or individuals such as character comedians and storytellers will culminate their CAMP residencies in full-length performances on Ars Nova Supra. GUS LAUGHLIN (he/they) is a queer comedy writer, director and theater artist based in Brooklyn. He is a recent graduate of the Experimental Theater Wing at NYU Tisch, where he was the director and head writer of Hammerkatz, NYU’s premier sketch comedy group. He’s performed original characters and sketches at Madison Square Garden, the Barclays Center and Radio City Music Hall. Pre-pandemic, you could find him performing monthly on BEAST at UCB Subculture (RIP!) or with the sketch/filmmaking group LISA at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and Under St. Marks Theater. Biggest weakness? Can’t do the splits.
