Are you ready to expose yourself to New York City?
We’re now accepting submissions for our sixth annual ANT Fest, a month-long festival of all new talent showcasing fresh material from New York’s most exciting emerging artists (for the 2012 lineup, click here). ANT Fest 2013 runs from June 3 to 29.
Ars Nova is on the prowl for talented artists who see the future of live entertainment and want the chance to show off their skills. We’re interested in edgy, offbeat, charged performances that tell a story, make us laugh, showcase musicians with a vibrant new sound, or blur the boundaries between theater, music and comedy. If it can be performed live on stage, we’re interested!
Beginning this year, we’re expanding ANT Fest to include a rocking, late-night 54/10 Concert Series, featuring performances by rising singer/songwriters, musicians and bands. The merging of Ars Nova’s charged 54/10 Music Marathon into ANT Fest will offer burgeoning music artists a larger platform and bigger community here at Ars Nova, introducing them to a variety of theatre-makers and Ars Nova artists-at-large in an effort to spark future collaborations in addition to showcasing individual work.
Think you’ve got the skills?
ANT Fest show submissions:
Send us a completed application form, a description of your evening (one page max); and a script, CD or DVD if you have one.
54/10 Concert Series submissions:
Send us a completed application form, and a CD or DVD with music and/or performance samples.
A range of unique submissions will each be given a spot to perform in Ars Nova’s intimate 99-seat theater and the opportunity to be a part of artist-driven parties and events throughout the festival. Please refer to the Logistics section on each application form for important logistics and details.
Applications must be postmarked by Monday, January 28. Artists chosen for the festival will be notified by Friday, March 30.
