British Invasion: The UK Stars of "Whose Line is it Anyway?"

After Monty Python, but before Drew Carey, there was a comedy revolution. Stephen Frost revitalized improv and inspired a whole new generation of British comedians. The British cast of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” has paved the way for comedians such as Sacha Baron Cohen (“Ali G”) and Ricky Gervais (“The Office”). “Whose Line?” received the ultimate validation when it was turned into an American T.V. show by Drew Carey. See British comedy masters Steven Frost, Jim Sweeney, Steve Steen, Andy Smart and Richard Vranch in NYC in this encore presentation for one night only!

Cupid Kills

A night of love songs that hurt so good, performed by songsters who know the truth about relationships or aren’t afraid to pretend they do. Led by acclaimed crooner Daniel Zaitchik , known for causing men, women and children to swoon with the simple clearing of his throat leads the evening, the night will feature a round of speed dating without that pesky dating part, the reverse dating game (where our host turned relationship counselor does his best to end it for the two of you), and a finale of seven minutes in heaven that promises to get the whole place hot and sticky. If you come single, you’ll probably leave that way. If you come attached, we’re so happy for you.

All songs performed and written by gentlemen that will calmly remind us why attractive people are often on stage: Jay Brannan, of the upcoming John Cameron Mitchell project; Robin Lord Taylor of CREATION NATION fame; downtown celebutante and hottie, Corey Tut; and Daniel Zaitchik, author and composer of ULA.

Hosted by Dickie DiBella of the Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad (VIDS) who is neither a dancer nor a host.

$5 Discount at the door if you kiss your date on the lips (no tongue necessary) or bring and destroy a photo of you and an ex!

Please note: The lobby and box office will open half an hour before show time.

Out Loud: For the Love of Pete

Six actors present a modern adaptation of short vaudevillian plays which Cervantes wrote in 1615. In doing so, this baker’s handful must overcome internal jealousies, marital discord, audience participation and incomprehensible Australian euphemisms. “For The Love Of Pete” benefits from remarkably fortuitous timing, given that the plays upon which it is based are celebrating their 400th birthday this year. Minus nine years.

Written and Directed by Jonathan Bernstein
